Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a holistic complementary therapy that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word “Reiki” translates to Universal Life Energy, and practitioners gently channel this energy to clients by placing their hands lightly on, or just above, the body. This process is designed to encourage deep relaxation, restore balance, and support natural healing. Reiki is a very gentle yet powerful form of energy healing that can be carried out in person or through distance Reiki sessions, making it accessible wherever you are. Many people seek Reiki therapy to reduce stress, improve emotional wellbeing, and enhance their overall sense of peace and vitality.

Benefits of Reiki :

Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medicine and may offer the following benefits:
  • Support for healing:Reiki can promote relaxation and thus support the body’s own natural healing processes, so can be used in conjunction with conventional medical treatments (please note, this is not suggesting that it is a substitute for conventional medical treatment)
  • Emotional Wellbeing:Reiki may enhance your mood and promote emotional stability, thus improving your emotional wellbeing and overall quality of life
  • Sleep:Reiki may improve sleep quality, by promoting calm and relaxation of the body and mind.
  • Reduced stress and anxiety :Reiki may assist in the lowering of stress and anxiety levels, due to a deep sense of relaxation often experienced by clients when receiving a Reiki treatment
  • Pain relief :The deep feeling of relaxation often experienced when receiving a Reiki treatment may also help clients to experience a reduction in pain levels.
